The Phnom Penh Post reported on 4 Oct 2011 that Khieu Kanharith, the government mouthpiece, told reporters on Monday 3 Oct that Hun Xen quietly left to Singapore to visit Hun Neang, his ill father who is under medical care there.
Hun Xen was supposed to open the conference on climate change at the Eternal Peace building on Monday, but he was absent to the event. Khieu Kanharith said that Hun Xen’s trip was to visit his father who is under medical care there. No information is available on the health condition of the 90-year-old Hun Neang.
